Porridge with Spring Onion


Ingredients


300g rice
3 stalks spring onion
30g carrot
dash of salt


Method






  1. Rinse rice and soak in water. Cut spring onion into sections. Dice carrot.



  2. Put rice, carrot and spring onion in a pot with 5 bowls of water, cook over medium low heat for about 2 hours. Season with salt.



Tips and info:

  • Remove the spring onion once the porridge is cooked to make it easier for feeding.
  • Spring onion promotes the secretion of digestive juices, aids expectoration and urination. It is also good for preventing flu and colds.
