Another stiff and strong Gingerbread Dough

6 3/4 cup (810g) flour
1 T cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
1 1/4 cups packed light brown sugar
1 cup margarine (don't use butter)

Melt the corn syrup sugar and margarine together, and mix them into the stirred together dry ingredients. Let it cool some and divide it into portions, then wrap in plastic and chill until firm. This is a stiff dough.  The dough is very pale, and you can get a more traditional color with dark sugar and/or corn syrup. Add red, brown, black paste color or dutch process cocoa for additional color.

Bake at 350 ro 15 - 30 minutes as needed.
