Our family has a favorite recipe that I made when our kids were very young and money was very tight (which it is again). It's simple, inexpensive, and feeds a lot for a little!
Hamburger Stuff
(That's what our kids always called it.)
1 lb. ground meat (beef or turkey)
Minced onion, to taste
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup ketchup
2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
Brown meat with onions while noodles are cooking. Drain noodles, put in skillet with meat. Add ketchup, garlic powder and salt/pepper to taste. Fold together until fully blended. Let warm through. Serve with a salad or veggie and rolls.
OPTIONS: You can add Parmesan cheese to each serving; add bell peppers to meat and onions.
